1. Introduction

Files.prj is a file system that allows you to import, edit, and share your files in one place. This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices of Files.prj (referred to as “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

Files.prj is currently offered without an account or sign-in requirement. We do not collect identifiers such as your name, email address, or other registration information at this time. A future version of the App will introduce optional accounts and profiles; this policy will be updated to describe what information is collected before that feature becomes available.

2.2 Content You Import

When you import a photo, video, or other file into Files.prj, that content is stored locally on your device. If iCloud is enabled on your device, this content is also automatically backed up to your own private iCloud account using Apple’s standard iCloud Documents service, so it can be restored if you delete and reinstall the App. This backup is stored under your own Apple ID — we do not have access to it, and it is never uploaded to any server we operate or shared with any third party.

2.3 Clipboard Information

Files.prj accesses your device's clipboard only at the moment you initiate a paste action within the App. This access occurs solely in direct response to your request and is not used for any other purpose.

2.4 Usage and Diagnostic Information

Files.prj does not use analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking technologies of any kind. We do not automatically collect information about how you use the App.

3. How We Use and Share Information

Because Files.prj does not collect personal information, account information, or usage data, we have none to use or share. We do not disclose information to advertising partners, analytics providers, or any other third party. Content you import or create is used only to provide the App’s functionality to you and, where iCloud is enabled, to back it up to your own private iCloud account as described above — it is never used for any other purpose.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Files.prj does not retain any information on servers we operate, so there is no data for us to store, retain, or delete on your behalf. Content is retained locally on your device and, where iCloud is enabled, in your own private iCloud account, for as long as you keep it in the App. Deleting a file from within the App removes it from both locations.

Deleting the App itself does not delete your iCloud-backed content — this is intentional, so your work is restored if you reinstall. You can permanently remove it at any time via your device’s Settings app, under your name > iCloud > Manage Account Storage > Files.prj. When accounts are introduced in a future update, this section will be revised further.

5. Age Requirements

Files.prj does not collect personal information from any user. No additional privacy safeguards are required based on a user's age.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Files.prj introduces new features such as accounts and profiles. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
